A major part of the cost of a
diamond depends upon the 4 C’s of the
diamond. According to the clarity grading scale used by
GIA, the top grade is the FL (Flawless) while the bottom grade is I (Included). The cost decreases from top grade to bottom grade; however, it is better to consider up to the SI (Slightly Included) grade while buying
heart diamond engagement ring.
In terms of
color, the highest grade is D and the lowest is Z. You must not choose a grade below G or H, as they may contain yellow tints in them and make the stone look gloomy and unattractive. When it comes to
carat, the bigger the
carat is, the more expensive the
stone becomes; hence, choose one according to your budget.
The final aspect is the
cut of the
diamond, which determines how much
brilliance the stone will have. The finer the
cut, the more brilliance and sparkle the
heart cut diamond will have, and the higher the price will go. Consider the factors like the length to width ratio, girdle, table width, and depth of the
diamond, to assess the value of the
diamond.
