The yellow color is due to the presence of nitrogen in the crystal lattice of these diamonds. Below are a few examples of some of the rarest yellow canary
diamonds.
Kahn Canary Diamond Ring
The Kahn Canary diamond is a rare diamond that has managed to remain uncut. This stone possesses a natural yellow color of high intensity. Also, its triangular shape gives it an attractive look. It was discovered in Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. This diamond is also accepted as a symbol of the state.
The Kahn Canary Diamond was positioned in a custom ring and given to Hilary Clinton for her husband’s inaugural ceremony.
Incomparable Diamond
This is a huge yellow diamond that was found in the Democratic Republic of
Congo. It was discovered by a kid while she was playing in the rubble from a diamond mine, outside her home. The main stone thus obtained from this diamond was the third-largest diamond ever cut, at 407-
carats. It was cut to 14 satellite diamonds, each of which showed a different color on account of erratic crystal growth.
